Entry Requirements & Application Documents

Doctoral Degree Program

1The applicant should be under the age of 40.

2Passport (at least 12 months of validity)

3Master’s & bachelor’s degree and transcript (Documents not in Chinese/English must be attached with their notarized Chinese/English translations.)

4Language proficiency certificate (Chinese-instructed applicants must provide HSK-6; English-instructed applicants must provide TOEFL iBT 80 or above/IELTS 6.0 or above/certificate of English as the instruction language during previous studies)

5Research proposal/study plan in China (at least 800 words in Chinese/English)

6Two recommendation letters by professors/associate professors

7An acceptance letter of UPC supervisors

8Current working/employment certificate or non-criminal record for those graduated over 12 months

9Other certificates or documents that make the application strong (e.g. awards/scholarship certificate, honor certificate, publications)

10Foreigner Physical Examination Form

Master’s Degree Program

1The applicant should be under the age of 35.

2Passport (at least 12 months of validity)

3Bachelor’s degree and transcript (Documents not in Chinese/English must be attached with their notarized Chinese/English translations.)

4Language proficiency certificate (Chinese-instructed applicants must provide HSK-4; English-instructed applicants must provide TOEFL iBT 60 or above/IELTS 5.0 or above/certificate of English as the instruction language during previous studies)

5Current working/employment certificate or non-criminal record for those graduated over 12 months

6Other certificates or documents that make the application strong (e.g. awards/scholarship certificate, honor certificate, publications)

Chinese Language Program

1The applicant should be between the age of 18 and 45.

2Passport (at least 12 months of validity)

3Highest diploma and transcript (Documents neither in Chinese nor English must be attached with their notarized Chinese/English translations.)

4Current working/employment certificate or non-criminal record for those graduated over 12 months

5Foreigner Physical Examination Form

Senior Scholar Program

1The applicant should be under the age of 50.

2Passport (at least 12 months of validity)

3Master’s/Doctoral degree and transcript, or alternatively professorship (Documents not in Chinese/English must be attached with their notarized Chinese/English translations.)

4Language proficiency certificate (Chinese-instructed applicants must provide HSK-6; English-instructed applicants must provide TOEFL iBT 80 or above/IELTS 6.0 or above/certificate of English as the instruction language during previous studies)

General Scholar Program

1The applicant should be under the age of 45.

2Passport (at least 12 months of validity)

3Highest diploma and transcript corresponding with bachelor’s/master’s programs (Documents neither in Chinese nor English must be attached with their notarized Chinese/English translations.)

4Language proficiency certificate corresponding with bachelor’s/master’s programs
