On December 7, the First Qingdao Job Fair of International Students was held in our university. 32 companies from various industries and fields in Qingdao participated in the Fair, bringing more than 130 job positions which covered energy, education, construction, communication, transportation and other industries. More than 500 international students from 60 countries of 8 universities in Qingdao attended the Fair.

Ma Guoshun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, expressed his hope that the participating companies would help international students understand the industry dynamics and clarify their career planning through their presentations. The officials from Qingdao Public Employment and Talent Service Center and Exit-Entry Administration of Qingdao Municipal Public Security Bureau gave presentations in English and Chinese on the policies related to the jobs of international students in Qingdao as well as laws and regulations related to exit and entry, and answered questions on the spot.

On the spot of the Fair, the representatives of companies and international students from 8 universities had in-depth and friendly communications and successfully reached intentions of jobs with some graduates.

I believe this event can deepen our understanding of industries, careers and job requirements and help us in our personal career planning.”Anna said, a Russian international students from the College of Arts and Law. She submitted resumes to several companies on the spot and is looking forward to a job in Qingdao.
