Dear International Students:

In the last few days,there has been an outbreak caused by a novel coronavirus (i.e. 2019-nCoV). The outbreak first started in Wuhan, China, but cases have been identified in a growing number of other locations both domestically and internationally. The Chinese government has spared no effort to contain the spread of 2019-nCoV.

UPC attaches great importance to this as well. Up to now, no case of coronavirus has been confirmed in our campus. We are therefore, calling on all our international students to pay strong attention to your health and safety during this critical moment.

To prevent the disease as well as to protect our students, the relevant matters are notified as follows in accordance with the context of the announcements issued by the Ministry of Education and the Leading Group for the prevention and control of pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus infection in Shandong Province and the China University of Petroleum:

A. The students should improve their ideological understanding, fully aware of the seriousness, complexity and difficulty of the current epidemic prevention and control form, resolutely overcome the paralysis and slackness of thinking, and put the safety of life and health first, consciously comply with the epidemic prevention and control work arrangements.

B. In order to prevent students from increasing the risk of infection due to contact with patients on the way back to school, and to ensure the health and safety of students, the starting time of the spring semester will be delayed, and students shall not return to school in advance! The final starting time will be announced later.

C. Students are not allowed to return to school early. Early return to school is not allowed to enter the campus. Please do your own quarantine, prevention and Control outside the school.

D. Suspend all aggregate activities on campus. Students should take good precautions, maintain good hygiene habits, reduce travel, do not go to crowded public places and arrange study and life in their residence.

E. If you need to return to your home country during the period of epidemic prevention and control, please go through the formalities of leaving school, asking for leave, suspending school and resuming school according to the relevant administrative regulations of the school, and do a good job of epidemic prevention all the time.

F. Pay attention to class wechat group, study留学石大wechat, UPC official website, etc. Timely check the relevant notice, timely completion of the relevant information collection and report.

G. Strengthen your own learning, through official channels to obtain information. Do not create rumors, do not believe rumors, do not spread rumors. Violators will be reported to the police.
