Letter of Invitation (Notice No. 1) for China International Pipeline Conference 2021 (CIPC 2021)
To Whom It May Concern,
China International Pipeline Conference (CIPC) is an international stage, on which global oil and gas storage and transportation industry players deepen exchanges and cooperation, demonstrate innovations, and pursue common development in future. The event has been successfully held so far for six times and attracted many enthusiastic renowned Chinese and international pipeline experts and scholars, and it is playing a positive role in promoting the innovation and development of pipeline industry and bolstering China's international influence. At present, the total mileage of oil and gas pipelines in service worldwide, from West Siberia to Shanghai, from the Baltic Sea to the North Sea, from the Middle East to the Mediterranean, has exceeded 2 million kilometers. Transnational oil and gas arteries are being presented as a realistic masterpiece from a beautiful blueprint, and it is expected the world pipeline industry will have a vibrant and prosperous future.
Economic globalization is the trend of the times. The China new energy security strategy, which is summarized as“Four Revolutions and One Cooperation”, brings about a bright future for the energy development in China and even the whole world. For now, the situation of the COVID-19 is still severe. It urgently requires various countries and industries to work hand in hand to overcome the difficulties and enable the economic recovery. In this context, it is of special significance to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation in an all-round way, gather global wisdom, continue to promote the progress of pipeline technology, and share the achievements of digital and intelligent pipeline innovation. To this end, China International Pipeline Conference (CIPC 2021) is scheduled to be held in Beijing in October 2021.
The purpose of CIPC 2021 is to exchange ideas, new developments on research, and technological progress in the field of oil and gas pipeline construction and operation since the previous session, and share innovations and practices in the development of high-grade steel pipes, pipeline design and construction, intelligent pipeline technologies, pipeline risk prevention and control, oil and gas strategic economics and other key areas. In addition, it will discuss the challenges and opportunities brought by the integration of new technologies, new equipment, new materials, and big data, cloud computing, intelligent perception, digital twins and other emerging technologies with oil and gas pipelines, as well as the development direction of the oil and gas pipeline technology sector in the context of a new era, and it will seek solutions to common key issues that restrict the development of the industry, and provide inspiration and decision-making reference for the high-quality development of oil and gas pipelines. (II)Technology, Equipment and Achievements Exhibition
CIPC 2021 has an exclusive area to exhibit technical achievements, which will provide a comprehensive and integrated showcase for global pipeline companies, equipment vendors, technical service agencies, etc. Through exhibition boards, product shows, simulation presentations, video display and other integrated sound and light techniques, a high-level 3D show of the latest research results of domestic and foreign pipeline technologies and equipment will be presented.
The exhibition will focus on digital pipeline design and software, pipeline construction technologies and equipment, new intelligent pipeline technologies and equipment, pipeline emergency response and repair technologies and equipment, major pipeline equipment (compressor units, oil pump units, valves, actuators, quick opening closures, etc.), as well as high-end precision pipeline instruments and meters.

I.Call for Papers: Requirements and Specifications
CIPC 2021 welcomes articles from Chinese and international researchers and workers of enterprises (institutions), scientific research institutes and universities involving in design, engineering, construction, operation management, technical services and manufacturing in the field of oil and gas storage and transportation, and invites you to share industry development information and exchange academic, technological achievements and experience. The papers must stick to the conference topics and have not been published on official journals or other conferences in China and other countries and regions.
(I)Paper requirements
1.All papers must be submitted in Microsoft Word format and all illustrations must be vector diagrams or high-definition images and packaged into a separate file.
2.Abstract: The abstracts must consist of four elements, such as the purpose, method, results and conclusion. For all papers written in Chinese, an abstract no less than 300 words both in Chinese and English is required, while for papers written in English, only the English version is required.
3.A brief introduction of the first author should be submitted both in Chinese and English (including the name, employer, title, date of graduation, university/college and major, address, e-mail, phone and current research field of the author).
4.CIPC 2021 only accepts manuscripts to be published for the first time. Please do not submit your manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. Your paper should be proactive, innovative, practical and instructive, and we do not accept papers unrelated to the oil and gas pipeline industry. Please keep a copy. We will not send back any manuscript.
5.The paper should consist of 4 parts, i.e., introduction (research background and purpose), technical solutions and research methods (thinking and methods for solving problems), results and effects (research results and application effects), and conclusions (final understanding and conclusions).
6.Plagiarism check will be made to all papers, and manuscripts with a repetition rate of more than 30% without a reasonable explanation will not be accepted.
7.The authors should be solely responsible for the views, results and consequences of their own papers. All papers submitted by the authors shall be subject to the confidentiality and copyright review of their respective employers.
8.CIPC 2021 has the right to review and modify the manuscripts of all papers in accordance with the requirements, and will hold the copyright of accepted papers after obtaining the author's authorization.
(II)Paper collection and rewards
1.Papers submitted on time and approved by the academic committee will be compiled into theProceedings of China International Pipeline Conference 2021 (CIPC 2021)and formally published by the Petroleum Industry Press.
2.Selection of distinguished papers: The author of a representative paper will be invited to deliver a presentation, awarded a prize (the first, second or third prize) and granted a certificate accordingly during the conference. Representative papers will be formally published onOil & Gas Storage and Transportation.
3.Retrieval: Distinguished papers will be recommended to SCI for indexing, and other papers will be indexed by CNKI with the author's consent.
(III)Deadlines for submission of papers
1.Deadline for submission of abstracts: June 15, 2021;
2.Deadline for submission of full manuscripts: June 30, 2021;
3.Deadline for first review and revision: July 31, 2021;
4.Deadline for re-examination and revision of all papers: August 31, 2021;
5.Deadline for collection, publishing and appraisal of papers: September 30, 2021.
