Dear Digital UPC Users:
To strengthen the management of campus network information security, and prevent the digital UPC account from being maliciously cracked and misused by others, the Information Construction Office will conduct a review of the digital UPC user password on October 26, 2020. to cleanup of weak passwords. Digital UPC users are required to login to Digital UPC to modify their account password, and the new password must contain capital letters, smaller letters, numbers, and special symbols, with a length of 8-16 digits. After October 26, accounts with weak passwords will be banned from logging in to Digital UPC, campus network, VPN and other systems. If a disabled account needs to be re-opened, the users must bring the valid ID card to the information service hall to handle it.
How to change password for weak password users
1. When the user password is a very simple, the password modification window will pop-up on logging. Enter a new password that meets the password strength requirements.
2. If the user password is not so complex as required, but can be used to login. Then reset the password after logging in Digital UPC.
