Brief Introduction
The educational aim of Petroleum Engineering specialty is to cultivate qualified personnel with advanced technology and engineering knowledge. To develop all-round morality, intellectuality and physical fitness, they can adapt to the needs of modern petroleum industrial development. They don’t gain just the basic training on petroleum engineering, but also can be engaged in petroleum engineering design, operation and construction, production and management, scientific development and applied research etc. when they graduate from the university.

Theoretical Mechanics, Fundamentals of Geology, Fluid Mechanics, Material Mechanics, Filtration Mechanics,Petrophysics, Geology of Oilfield Exploitation, Oilfield Chemistry, Applied Physical Chemistry, Well Logging and Comprehensive Interpretation, Filtration Mechanics, Drilling Engineering, Production Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Gas Reservoir Engineering, Environment Protect in Oil and Gas Field, Theory of Enhanced Recovery, Numerical Reservoir Simulation, Theory and Technology of Directional Drilling, Technology of Increment Oil Production and Augmented Injection, Petrologic Mechanics.
Duration & Tuition Fee
This is a 4 academic years’ full time undergraduate program with an annual tuition fee of RMB20, 000.00 (twenty thousand RMB).
Requirement of Graduate Degree
Students shall obtain the above required 177 credits together with 10 credits required in the Supplementary Program Scheme, and pass HSK-3 inorder to graduate. Thesis shall be written in English while an abstract in Chinese is also required. Those who meet the graduation requirements will be awarded a Bachelor of Engineering. Otherwise, students have to delay their graduation as long as they could satisfy UPC graduation requirements within a max of 2 extra academic years.
