3. Registration Materials

■ Passport and X-visa

■ Original Degree, Diploma or Studying Certificate

■ Original Admission Notice and JW202

■ 8 photos (Passport size, blue background)

■ Original Foreigner Physical Examination Form and its exam reports (X-ray film, Vision Test Report, ECG results, etc.). Note: according to the Chinese Public Security, new international students must take a foreigner examination in China for a residence permit. Some exam items may be exempted if the above documents are approved by the government-appointed health center.

4. Entrance Examination

All new students will be arranged to take an entrance examination.

5. Fees and Payment

Tuition (please refer to http://cie.upc.edu.cn/admission), Insurance (CNY 800/year), Medical Check (CNY 200-700), Residence Permit (CNY 800/year), Accommodation (on-campus living CNY 7200-8400/year, refundable room deposit CNY 1000); Campus Card (CNY 20), living expenses such as food (about CNY 30 per day) and intracity transportation CNY 1-2. Payments can only be accepted in CNY.

Note: tuition should be paid on an annual basis. Students would be expelled if purposefully in default on the tuition.

6. Police Residence Registration

New students should reach UPC WITHIN 24 hours after entering China for police residence registration. If not, students must conduct a temporary residence registration at the police-entrusted hotels or the nearest police station WITHIN 24 hours after entering China. Otherwise, a penalty fine would be imposed on students by police according to the Chinese laws.

7. Transportation Tips

Please visit http://cie.upc.edu.cn/admission for transportation information from Qingdao Liuting International Airport or Qingdao Railway Station to UPC.

8. Accommodation Arrangement

International students should reside in the International Student Dormitory. Dorm room will be arranged according to the time that students register with UPC. Students would look for off-campus apartment on their own in case there are no vacant rooms.
